Who these terms are between
These terms cover your use of portmysite.com and any migration work we agree to carry out. “We” is PortMySite; “you” is the person or business commissioning the work. Reach us at migrate@portmysite.com.
Quotes and prices
Prices shown on this site are the real tier prices, not starting points. A quote becomes binding on both of us once we have looked at your live site and confirmed it in writing, that confirmed number is what you pay, and it does not move because the work turned out harder than we expected.
It can only change if the scope changes: pages or products added after we quoted, functionality that was not visible on the live site at audit, or a change of destination platform. In that case we tell you before doing the work, not after.
Estimates produced by the tools on this site, the migration advisor and the quote builder, are indicative and based on what you told us. Only a written quote is binding.
Current offer. 10% off every migration booked this month. Applies to the fixed tier price, quoted before work starts. One discount per project. The discount applies to projects confirmed within the calendar month shown in the banner, and cannot be combined with another offer.
What every migration includes
At every tier and every price: a full crawl and URL inventory before anything moves, a complete 301 redirect map verified after launch, titles, meta descriptions and schema carried across, a staging build you approve before cutover, a zero-downtime DNS cutover at a quiet hour, six weeks of Search Console monitoring, and 30 days of post-launch support. These are not add-ons and we do not sell them separately.
What we need from you
Login access to your current site, your domain registrar, and any analytics or search accounts you want reconnected. We also need timely answers and a review of the staging site, the most common cause of a late migration is a staging site sitting unreviewed, and delays caused by waiting on approvals move the delivery date.
You confirm you have the right to the content being migrated and to authorise work on the domain.
What we do not promise
We do not promise specific search rankings, traffic levels or revenue, and you should treat anyone who does with suspicion. What we commit to is the work that protects rankings: every URL inventoried, every one redirected, and the result verified afterwards. Some fluctuation in the first weeks after a migration is normal while search engines re-crawl.
Performance figures quoted anywhere on this site are typical ranges for comparable rebuilds, not projections for your site. We will give you your own numbers during the audit.
Some things genuinely cannot be migrated: Wix comments and chat history, saved customer payment methods (these live with payment processors on every platform), and data locked inside third-party apps that offer no export. We identify these during the audit and tell you before you commit, not after.
Payment
Unless agreed otherwise, half the fixed price is due to schedule the work and the balance on completion, before cutover. Invoices are due within 14 days. Hosting and platform subscriptions are paid by you directly to those providers. We do not resell them or mark them up.
Cancellation
You can cancel before work starts for a full refund of anything paid. Once the audit and rebuild are underway, we will invoice for the work completed to that point and hand over what has been produced, including the URL inventory and redirect map. We can also cancel. If we conclude partway through that the job is not what we quoted, we will say so, refund the difference, and be honest about why.
Your site and your content
Your content stays yours throughout. On final payment, the rebuilt site and everything produced for it is yours, including the code, the configuration and the redirect map. We keep no lock on it: no proprietary platform, no licence that expires, nothing that requires us to stay involved. That is the entire point of the service.
We may reference the type of work in general terms (for example “a restaurant migration”), but will not name you or show your site publicly without your permission.
Liability
We take reasonable professional care, keep your existing site live until you approve the replacement, and maintain the ability to roll back during cutover. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the work in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
The free tools
The tools on this site are provided as-is for your own use. They run in your browser, they are genuinely free, and there is no signup. They produce suggestions, a generated redirect map should be reviewed before you deploy it, and a readiness score is a prompt to check things, not a guarantee.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page; the date at the top shows when it last changed. The terms that apply to your project are the ones in force when we confirmed your quote.
