Privacy policy
Short, because we collect very little. Last updated August 12, 2026.
The short version
- No analytics. We do not run Google Analytics or any equivalent.
- No tracking cookies, and no advertising or social pixels.
- Our free tools run in your browser, the URLs you paste are never sent to us.
- We only hold what you deliberately send us through a form.
- We never sell, rent or share your details with anyone.
Who we are
PortMySite is a website migration service operating at portmysite.com. For anything in this policy, contact us at migrate@portmysite.com.
What we collect, and when
Only what you type into a form and submit. There are three:
- Quote requests. Your name, email address, website address, and the answers you give about your site, destination, size, timing, and any notes you add.
- Migration advisor reports. If you ask us to email you a recommendation, your email address plus the answers you gave.
- Newsletter signups. Your email address, and which part of the site you subscribed from.
We do not ask for and cannot accept payment card details through this site.
What we do not collect
We do not run analytics, so we do not build a profile of your visit, your device or your browsing. There are no advertising pixels, no social media trackers, and no third-party scripts observing you.
Our free tools, the redirect map generator, risk score, migration advisor and speed check, run entirely in your browser. The URLs and answers you enter are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to us, unless you explicitly choose to email yourself an advisor report.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies. It uses your browser's local storage for two strictly functional things: remembering whether you chose light or dark mode, and remembering the business name you typed into a rebuild preview so it survives a refresh. Both stay on your device, are readable only by this site, and are never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Because nothing here is used for tracking, advertising or analytics, no consent banner is required, and rather than show one that implies otherwise, we have written this paragraph instead.
Who processes your data
- Formspree receives form submissions and forwards them to our inbox. Their privacy policy governs that step.
- Vercel hosts this site and, like any web host, processes standard server request logs including IP addresses for security and reliability. We do not query or analyse those logs to identify visitors.
That is the complete list. No advertising networks, no data brokers, no CRM enrichment services.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and correspondence are kept while your enquiry is live and for up to 24 months afterwards, so we can pick up a conversation you restart. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Ask us to delete any of it sooner and we will, without asking why.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK, EU, or a jurisdiction with comparable law such as California, those rights are statutory. Email migrate@portmysite.com and we will respond within 30 days. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe.
Children
This is a service for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If our practices change (for example if we ever add analytics) we will update this page and change the date at the top. Adding anything that tracks you would also mean adding a consent mechanism, and we would not do the first without the second.
