Privacy policy
Short, because we collect very little. Last updated October 4, 2026.
The short version
- No Google Analytics. The Mirage preview uses limited first-party visit measurement described below.
- No advertising or social pixels. A preference cookie remembers measurement opt-out.
- Our free tools run in your browser, the URLs you paste are never sent to us.
- We hold submitted forms and limited Mirage preview activity records.
- We never sell or rent your details. Hosting and form providers process data as described below.
Who we are
PortMySite is a website migration service operating at portmysite.com. For anything in this policy, contact us at migrate@portmysite.com.
What we collect, and when
We collect the following form submissions, plus the limited preview measurement described below:
- Quote requests. Your name, email address, website address, and the answers you give about your site, destination, size, timing, and any notes you add.
- Migration advisor reports. If you ask us to email you a recommendation, your email address plus the answers you gave.
- Newsletter signups. Your email address, and which part of the site you subscribed from.
We do not ask for and cannot accept payment card details through this site.
What we do not collect
We do not use advertising pixels, social media trackers, fingerprinting, or cross-site browsing profiles. Mirage measurement does not record form contents, names, email addresses, keystrokes or screen recordings.
Our free tools, the redirect map generator, risk score, migration advisor and speed check, run entirely in your browser. The URLs and answers you enter are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to us, unless you explicitly choose to email yourself an advisor report.
Mirage preview visit measurement
On /miragelimo.com pages, we record the page path, server timestamp, approximate active seconds, broad scroll progress and interaction categories such as vehicle exploration or a proposal-link click. We also record device category and country/region supplied by our host. A random tab identifier expires after 30 minutes without another page load; it is not linked to your identity. Query strings, full referrers and form entries are excluded.
Requests for the Mirage proposal PDF are recorded separately. A file request can be generated by a browser, security scanner or automated system; it does not establish that a person read the document. We do not measure reading inside an external PDF viewer. Active time is an estimate and pauses when the page is hidden or there has been no interaction for 60 seconds.
These records help us evaluate the demonstration. They are stored privately on Vercel, accessible to the site operator, and retained while we review the proposal engagement. You can request deletion sooner. We do not store raw IP addresses in our custom activity records; the hosting platform processes standard request logs separately.
Cookies and local storage
The Mirage footer offers a control to turn measurement off in this browser. It saves a first-party preference cookie for up to one year. We also honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Session storage holds the temporary tab identifier; closing the tab clears it. No identity cookie is set.
Elsewhere, browser storage remembers functional preferences such as light or dark mode and the business name entered in a rebuild preview. Clearing browser data removes these preferences. Disabling JavaScript prevents browser engagement measurement, but normal server requests may still be logged.
Who processes your data
- Formspree receives form submissions and forwards them to our inbox. Their privacy policy governs that step.
- Vercel hosts this site and, like any web host, processes standard server request logs including IP addresses for security and reliability. We may inspect Mirage request logs to understand proposal traffic, without treating a request as proof of a visitor's identity. Vercel also stores the private preview activity records described above.
That is the complete list. No advertising networks, no data brokers, no CRM enrichment services.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and correspondence are kept while your enquiry is live and for up to 24 months afterwards, so we can pick up a conversation you restart. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Ask us to delete any of it sooner and we will, without asking why.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK, EU, or a jurisdiction with comparable law such as California, those rights are statutory. Email migrate@portmysite.com and we will respond within 30 days. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe.
Children
This is a service for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If our practices change, we update this page and its date. The Mirage preview explains its measurement in the footer and offers a browser opt-out. We will provide any additional choice required for new uses of data.
